Omarchy M: Best Linux Experience I Had in Apple Silicon
Hello. I experimented a lot of distros like Gentoo, NixOS (one of my favourite distros out there), Fedora, Ubuntu on my M2 MacBook Air. I tried Omarchy this time and it surprised me.
Why I tried Omarchy?
Because it has a installer app in macOS which made me interest about it. And it has a different kernel then Asahi. So it worth try.
How was the Installation?
Installation was really nice but it took longer than expected.
To install that, you open the app then answer some questions. Then it will give you some info to boot up Omarchy for the first time. Follow orders and you will be good to go.
Why it’s the best Linux experience?
I use USB-C displays a lot of. Other Asahi variants does not support that out of the box, you should build fairydust kernel by your hand. But in Omarchy, that worked without any problems at all and it’s nice.
