[TURKISH] Biraz İçimi Dökmek İstiyorum

NOTE: This post is going to be Turkish. Most of the posts are English but this time I want to speak my mother language.

Selamlar. Son zamanlarda içimi dökmek istiyordum, bugün bunu yapacağım. İçimi rahatsız eden çok ama çok fazla olay var, bazılarını anlatacağım.

Kimlik Doğrulama

Bu çok canımı sıkıyor. Pazar gününe yani 1 Kasım’a yaklaştığımız her gün kalbim daralıyor. Sanki herşey batacak ve internet benim için bitecek gibi ve öyle de aslında. VPN işe yarar ama zamanla her ülkede bu olunca VPN de işe yaramayacak ve anonimitemizi kaybedeceğiz tamamen. Bu da canımı aşırı sıkıp kalbimi daraltıyor.

Omarchy M: Best Linux Experience I Had in Apple Silicon

Hello. I experimented a lot of distros like Gentoo, NixOS (one of my favourite distros out there), Fedora, Ubuntu on my M2 MacBook Air. I tried Omarchy this time and it surprised me.

Why I tried Omarchy?

Because it has a installer app in macOS which made me interest about it. And it has a different kernel then Asahi. So it worth try.

How was the Installation?

Installation was really nice but it took longer than expected.

My NixOS Experience

Hello. I used NixOS for like one month and made a full configuration for it. Today, I’ll give you some points to make your own configuration and tell you things I did wrong when I started.

Firstly, I used and synchronized my configuration in two machines. One is my Desktop PC and one is M2 MacBook Air (with linux-asahi kernel).

Why use Flakes

Because output is nicer, you can lock packages so you won’t get incompatibility when using two machines with one configuration like I did.

I Finally Tried Omarchy

I tried Omarchy. I’s an opiniated Linux distro with looks and it’s fancy. Here’s my opinions.

First of all, I did not use it in bare metal. I used it in “Try Omarchy” app on my MacBook.

It’s Just a Rice

My biggest problem is, it’s not a distro. It’s just a rice named “distro”. There’s some apps for it but you can install them on Arch too.

It does not any special things. For example, if you install Arch, Hyprland and Noctalia then do theme integrations, that will be a better setup.

Why Fediverse Is Better

Hello. Fediverse is a term we use for protocols like ActivityPub. ActivityPub powers services like Mastodon, Pleroma, Akkoma or GoToSocial. Today I’ll write my thoughts about why Fediverse and Fediverse people is better then X.

Why Fediverse People is Better

Knowledge

If you know what is Mastodon, you know some Tech but someone does use X doesn’t have to know Tech. If something is hard, then good people will use it.

My Opinion About Omarchy

Omarchy is a AI-centric Linux distro made by DHH using Arch Linux. It uses software like Hyprland, Quickshell, Foot etc. It’s popular because it helps people use Hyprland easily without configuring it.

What I think about Omarchy?

I think Omarchy Linux is good, as a dotfile. I think Omarchy does not deserve being a distro but it’s a good starting point for dotfiles.

Should we give AI access to our computers?

I think yes but if it’s running locally. Giving full access to your system to a cloud AI means giving full access to your system to a cloud. If that cloud targets you, they can do everything with your computer.
